Who We Are
Low Income People Involvement of Nipissing (L.I.P.I.) is a non-profit charitable organization that assists low-income and vulnerable individuals and families with a menu of services in order to prevent homelessness, create sustainable access to housing and advocate for those experiencing homelessness.
The agency started out in 1985 as a Tenant Organization & Support Group, became a Not-for-Profit in 1986 and a registered charity in 2004.
Located in North Bay’s downtown core since the 90s, L.I.P.I. purchased its present location 127 Main St E in 2004. The building provides office space for its services, as well as three social housing units.
Known as the go-to agency that allows clients direct and immediate access to frontline workers, L.I.P.I. has ample experience of providing services that focus on homelessness prevention by using a proactive approach without creating duplication or overlap in services.
LIPI is a strong believer in the need to be a responsive community partner throughout the district of Nipissing.
